Between the throttling of visibility, removal of content, the games you have to play to be seen, and the ongoing decisions of platforms like X and Meta to allow hate speech, and control what we see and interact with...I just.
BLGH!
Luckily, over the past 8 years, we haven't had to use social media much to grow to 7-figures. I was able to avoid the "post 87342 a day" grind...although I see the toll it takes on other business owners.
Our main growth has been from connection with our audience via email, referrals from people sharing MemberVault and people buying or signing up for a MemberVault product and loving the experience.
(The sole exception on our lack of social media is the MemberVault Collaborative, which has been a thriving, engaged Facebook group that I've loved interacting in daily for years...although with reach continually declining, and people's feeds changing, I wonder about it's future.)
But I know a lot of people use social media for their business.
I'm curious. Which one fits how you're feeling right now?
I feel stuck with social media, even though I hate depending on it.
I don't use social media to grow my business.
I still love social media for my business, despite it's drawbacks.
